Qualifications/Responsibilities: BS degree; MS preferred, familiar with Purchasing, Business Law, Finance, information systems and new technology. 10 years management experience. Under minimum supervision, the Acquisitions Director coordinates and directs the centralized procurement of all supplies, equipment and services. Guides and is fully accountable for all departmental activities to support hospital-wide strategic objectives. Develop policies, procedures, and objectives for the medical center purchasing program and standardization in accordance with internal and external policies and guidelines. Manage the timely procurement of supplies, equipment and services needed by Montefiore Medical Center in accordance with the Procurement Policy and all other applicable federal, state and local laws, regulations, policies and procedures. Acts as the procurement officer for the institution.
