SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The Montefiore RN maintains standards of the practice for nursing as defined by the American NursesAssociation Code of Ethics, Nursing Scope and Standards of Practice and Nursing’s Social PolicyStatement.
The Registered Nurse actualizes the vision, mission, values, balanced scorecard performance measures for Montefiore Medical Center.
The RN participates in performance improvement/research activities; maintains professional practice standards and clinical expertise; and demonstrates leadership skills. The RN demonstrates core and unit specific competencies based on the patient population served.

 

EDUCATION, TRAINING & EXPERIENCE:
New York State License for Registered Professional Nurse and current registration or valid permit topractice in New York State as an R.N.
Basic Life Support Training
Infection Control Training
Effective English communication skills, both written and oral
Ability to use basic data entry and retrieval systems

Required - 2yrs of Acute care or Med Surge experience.

 

ASSOCIATE REFERRAL PROGRAM

  • Qualified candidates must have or be eligible for NYS RN License

 

  • Full time and Part Time ONLY (day, evening, and night shifts only – does not apply to per diem positions; amount for the part time positions will be prorated).

 

  • The positions are available at Moses, Einstein, and Wakefield campus including Peri-Op services

 

Payment Terms

First payment of $1,500.00 will be paid out on the month the new associate starts, with an additional payment of $1,000.00 to be paid out following a successful completion of probationary period.

 

This Associate Referral Program is open to Montefiore Medical Center associates as outlined in HR Policy ll-4b.

 

How to submit a referral:

Locate a requisition (posting will indicate ARP eligible) and use the “Refer a Friend” option via the Talent Management System. All referrals must have a current resume attached at the time of referral and will be tracked via the Talent Management System.
