ADMINISTRATIVE DIRECTOR- AIDS Center Administration/Faculty Practice Group

 

As an ADMINISTRATIVE DIRECTOR you will:

 

Serve as the Department Administrator for the AIDS Center.   The AIDS Center provides HIV primary care, ambulatory infectious diseases care, inpatient HIV case management and clinical oversight, clinical trials of HIV and various infectious diseases, HIV prevention services including PEP and PrEP, STI screening and treatment, and LGBTQ+ care across multiple sites in the Bronx and surrounding counties. These and all other activities are undertaken in close collaboration with the AIDS Center Medical Director. 

 

The position's responsibilities include budget preparation; management of expenses; provider productivity; new program planning and development; expansion of services; preparation of grant applications to various potential funders; oversight of federal-, state- and city-funded service grants; team building; and mentorship of direct reports. Responsible for compliance with regulatory and Medical Center standards, and for MMC- and MHS-wide initiatives. The Administrative Director will also work on enhancing LGBTQ+ care MHS-wide by providing leadership, program management, planning and development of new services, collaborating with key community contacts, and organization of and participation in new grant opportunities to fund and expand these efforts.

 

As an ADMINISTRATIVE DIRECTOR you require:

  • Master's Degree
  • Minimum of 5 years leadership experience
  • Experience working with or managing care for people living with HIV
  • Experience working with LGBTQ+ communities and other at risk populations strongly preferred
  • Experience with providing direct care to LGBTQ+ individuals and other at risk populations strongly preferred
  • Experience managing a diverse multi-disciplinary management team 
  • Grant and fiscal management experience for federal, state and city funders
  • Experience with program planning and development 
  • Experience with hospital-based care budgeting, management, and planning
  • Experience managing in a unionized healthcare environment
