As the Administrative Secretary for both the Administrator for Pathology Operations and the Director for Clinical Pathology, analyze and determine office work priorities and determine most effective methods to complete assignments.  Determine what information is needed to complete reports and appropriate sources of information.  Organize daily schedules and commitments of executives. 



  • Coordinates calendar for Administrator & Director of Service on the East Campus.  Provides support to Weiler Anatomic Pathology Physician Staff.
  • Use Word, Excel and Outlook Calendars along with other various computer programs.
  • Minutes of Departmental Meeting
  • Assist in maintaining departmental statistics (budgets, CAP, etc.)
  • Maintain “Special Funds” accounts for both Clinical & Anatomic Pathology at the Weiler Division.
  • Maintain records of all proficiency test results including New York State Department of Health and College of American Pathologists.
  • Full-participation in JCAHO/CAP /NYSDOH inspections, as needed.
  • Maintain office records: personnel files, mandatory inservice training records, payroll time sheets, general filing, Continuing Ed, including tracking Iron Mt. Inventories.
  • Renew all application (annually) of NYSDOH and associated fee payments quarterly for ALL of the Pathology Sites (Moses, Weiler and MMP).
  • Triage incoming phone calls to appropriate locations.  Handle calls when necessary.  Prioritize all phone messages while using various types of page systems.
  • Help other Directors within the Weiler site with special projects.
  • SAP – order and track purchase requisitions for Laboratories



  • High School Diploma / GED required
  • 5 years’ work experience required
  • A minimum of 2 years working knowledge of Microsoft Office Word and Excel required


This position is located in the Rapid Response Lab at the Einstein campus. The hours are Monday – Friday 8:00am-4:30pm.
