ADMINISTRATOR

BRONX, NY, US


The successful candidate is responsible for providing leadership support and overall financial and administrative direction for the academic clinical department and all Family and Social Medicine Faculty Practice sites throughout the health system, which includes the management of non-physician staff. Directs and manages the fiscal, operational, human and information resources for the Department of Family and Social Medicine. Partners with the Department Chair, Vice Chair, Unified Administrator and Vice President of Clinical Operations in the design, coordination and implementation of all administrative aspects of the department.

 

Responsibilities also include development and maintenance of financial, operational, quality and service standards and mechanisms to monitor performance. Identifies key performance indicators for various areas including operational performance, staff development, quality of care, community engagement, and departmental efficiency. This includes all clinical, academic and teaching/educational programs in inpatient and outpatient Family Medicine, Wound Care and Palliative Care. Develops, monitors and ensures budgets and volumes are kept within targets. Reports to Chairman, Vice President of Clinical Operations and the Unified Administrator.

 

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration or related field. Masters preferred. A minimum of five years of health care administration, STRONG financial experience in budget planning, business process analysis, human resource management and program development.  Experience in an academic medical setting is preferred. Strong analytical and communication skills required to identify and resolve problems effectively.  ADVANCED EXCEL SKILLS MANDATORY.
