Montefiore Medical Center & Albert Einstein College of Medicine seek a physician with unique vision, enthusiasm, and experience to serve as Chief of the Division of Allergy & Immunology. The ideal candidate is an academic physician with expertise in applying new knowledge to the practice of clinical medicine and a track record of scholarship and leadership. The Division Chief should be a nationally respected academic Allergist & Immunologist with demonstrated clinical and research accomplishments. The next Division Chief will be the leader of a large academic and clinical enterprise. Candidates must possess the qualities required to be a successful leader in a complex multidisciplinary environment, including working collaboratively across various organizations and effectively promoting the Division with community providers and leaders, donors, and hospital executives.  

 

Job Description: 

  • Ensure the highest quality and regional and national visibility of the Division's patient care, education research, other scholarly/academic activities, and community outreach programs.  

  • Promote the Departmental priorities of interdisciplinary program development, physician-scientist career development, diversity of its workforce, and integrated program development with its affiliates.  

  • Assure the mentorship of trainees and faculty with the goals of career development and progression toward promotion.  

  • Recruit, retain, and academically develop faculty in the Division.  

  • Administer the Division in a fiscally responsible manner within Departmental & Institutional policies. 

  • Possess a financial and business acumen, with appropriate knowledge of the complex financial pressures facing academic medical centers and health care delivery organizations. 

  • Participate in regularly scheduled meetings of the Department of Medicine's Division Chiefs and other ad hoc Departmental meetings.  

  • Work positively and collaboratively with Montefiore hospitals, Faculty Practice leadership, Albert Einstein College of Medicine, and Department of Medicine leadership to foster the growth and development of the multiple missions of the Division. 

  • Support, develop, and provide leadership for Allergy & Immunology initiatives and innovation within the department, school, and the healthcare system. Demonstrate a willingness to work with diverse students, fellows, and colleagues, and mentor diverse students and junior colleagues.  

 

In addition to a competitive compensation range of $200K to $300K (not including bonuses / incentive compensation), we offer STD, LTD, paid malpractice, CME w/ paid stipend and much more.
