CHIEF TECHNOLOGIST RADIOLOGY

The Technical Director of Interventional is responsible for the overall operations and performance of Neuroinventional (NIR) and Vascular Interventional (VIR) and must have a general operational knowledge of each site and location. Reporting to the Unified Department Administrator of Radiology, they are responsible for management of all IR services provided and function as the key liaison for maintaining and building the IR referring network. He/she will participate in central Radiology councils to provide decision making and expertise in IR for the development of supplies, service contracts, and capital purchases.  The Technical Director of IR directly manages the hiring, training, quality oversight, safety, and overall technical performance of staff within IR and serves on department and organizational committees. He/she will communicate with various members of the hospital staff at various levels within the organization to include but not limited to, clinical, research, administrative and community. 

  

• Prior Supervisory experience

• Experience with Philips bi-plane, single-plane, and C-Arm

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel and Power Point

• Excellent communication and critical thinking skills

• The ability to work with people at different levels of understanding and to motivate them to change/focus to ensure departmental success

• The ability to work effectively with cross functional groups and participate in problem solving processes

• Strong initiative to learn, teach, and to be a self-motivated professional

• A solid understanding of financial and budget analysis

• Have the ability to foster a culture of safety through personal ownership and a commitment to a safe environment

 

Requirements

 

Licensed by NYS DOH with Injection Registered

ARRT Certified with injection

5 Years experience

Bachelors Degree required, Masters Degree preferred
