CLINICAL DIRECTOR OF NURSING

BRONX, NY, US


The Clinical Director of Nursing, Perioperative Services maintains standards of the practice for nursingas defined by the American Nurses Association Code of Ethics, Nursing Scope, Standards of Practice and Nursing’s Social Policy Statement.

The Clinical Director of Nursing, Perioperative actualizes the vision, mission, values, and balanced scorecard performance measures for Montefiore Medical Center.

The Clinical Director of Nursing, Perioperative participates in performance improvement/research activities; maintains professional practice standards and clinical expertise; and demonstrates leadership skills. The Clinical Director of Nursing, Perioperative demonstrates core and unit specific competencies based on the patient population served.

Has cross campus responsibility, authority, and accountability for the organization and management ofthe Operating Room, PACU, Ambulatory and Same Day Surgery programs. Demonstrates advanced leadership, managerial, clinical and educative abilities and acts as liaison/consultant to other hospital departments.

 

EDUCATION, TRAINING & EXPERIENCE:

New York State Registered Professional License and current registration or valid permit to practice in New York State.

Master's degree in Nursing Service Administration, or other related Master's degree with a health care concentration.

Minimum of five years management experience
