The Clinical Faculty position will be responsible for primarily designing, implementing, evaluating and revising new and current learning curriculum/programs for nurses and clinical teams centrally within the Learning Network as well as unit/client based.   The professional in this role should have a strong knowledge base in theories of teaching, learning, and evaluation, be able to design curricula and programs that reflect sound educational principles, be able to assess learner's needs, be innovative, and thoroughly enjoy teaching.

The ideal candidate will 
     • Have a strong knowledge base in theories of teaching, learning and evaluation; be able to design curricula and programs that reflect sound educational principles; be able to assess learner needs; be innovative; and enjoy teaching.  
     • Have a substantive knowledge base in his/her area(s) of instruction and have the skills to convey that knowledge in a variety of ways to those who are less expert with various levels of ability.
     • Anticipate changes and expectations so they can design programs to prepare nurses and clinical teams to meet those challenges.
     • Adapt curriculum and teaching methods in response to innovations in nursing science and ongoing changes in the practice environment.
    • Serve as a role model and provide the leadership needed to implement evidence-based practice.  
    • Ensure delivery of safe and effective care, through staff education, coaching, and competency assessment.
    • Have top tier communication skills, possess excellent critical thinking abilities, and have a solid clinical background
    • Exhibit an intense commitment to lifelong learning, exercise leadership abilities, and be committed to the scholarly progression of the nursing discipline. 
    • Have teaching experience in a clinical hospital patient environment.
Qualifications Required:
     •  Master's degree in nursing is required.  Master's degree in nursing/clinical education or post masters certificate in nursing education or related field is required.  PhD in nursing,  EdD, or DNP is preferred
     •  Minimum of 5 years of clinical nursing experience required

      . Three years of relevant teaching experience in a clinical setting is required
