The Clinical Financial Analyst reports to the Director Finance, OBGYN and Women's Health.  The successful candidate will be responsible for becoming a super user of EPIC in order to accurately complete custom analyses and regular management reporting on clinical activities, including financial, revenue cycle, productivity, patient service and scheduling, monitoring the management of clinical Accounts Receivable. Using advanced excel and/or R4 capability, create reports that can be replicated efficiently.


Responsibilities include:

  • This role will make recommendations on methodology and in creation of reports.
  • Participates in the annual budgeting process for clinical revenue in coordination with the Associate Director Budget and Finance.
  • Able to explain methodology to department leadership (Chair, Administrator, Division Directors).
  • Able to work independently with limited direction; able to interpret the information needs of leadership to support decisions and to generate custom and regular reports accordingly.

Education/Skills required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance required; Master’s Degree preferred
  • Minimum three (3) years related experience
  • Advanced excel and/or R capability. capability and strong financial analytical experience required
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
  • Ability to prioritize and manage deadlines in a fast pace environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with staff at all levels in the organization.
  • Highly analytical and detailed oriented.
  • Understanding of health care performance metrics and key operating indicators. Knowledge of statistical and financial metrics in a health care environment such as payor mix, total and work RVU, revenue ratios.
  • Ability to combine and summarize disparate data sets
