CLINICAL MANAGER NURSING

BRONX, NY, US


 

The Nurse Manager is accountable for managing the daily operation of clinical services and direct patient care across all divisions of Women's Health OB/GYN department. The incumbent ensures the highest quality of patient care to meet the program's objectives and MMC mission. Associate will be reporting to the Unified Administrator, Associate Administrator and Vice Chair.

 

The Nurse Manager oversees the clinical activities of the RN, LPN, and Patient Care Technicians. The Nurse Manager is responsible for hiring, professional development, orientation, discipline, ongoing competency verification, research initiatives, OR scheduling maintenance, and performance appraisals of the nursing staff. He/She is responsible for leading the education agenda for the department's nurses, clinical supports, and ensuring the team is in compliance with all regulatory requirements, including BLS licensing and point of care testing competencies.  The nurse manager, in collaboration with other leaders writes, reviews and ensures consistency of nursing protocols/ procedures to maintain the highest level of patient care. The Nurse Manger will travel to all Women's Health sites.

 

Bachelor’s degree. Current NYS RN license and registration. 7 years of related work experience. At least two years of experience in Nurse Management - ambulatory preferred. The nurse manager should have experience in Women's Health all divisions, including knowledge of Labor & Delivery settings. Knowledge of Epic or EMR utilization as well as Microsoft. Knowledge of Women's Health Ultrasound or diagnostic tests. Knowledge of OR maintenance. Knowledge of Infectious Control, TJC standards, High Level Disinfection. Knowledge of Maternal Fetal Medicine and Non stress testing equipment utilization.
