DATA MANAGER (Grant Funded)


The Data Analyst is responsible for producing standardized funder reports as well as developing and executing analytical models for monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness/operational efficiency of the UBA-WeCARE Program. In this role, the Analyst will create, validate, interpret, and maintain various data sets/data tables to support data accuracy/validity and programmatic reporting.

This includes, but is not limited to, daily data reconciliation across multiple data entry systems, daily/weekly operational reports, descriptive and trend statistical analyses and will apply best industry best practices in the implementation of these techniques.  This person will also provide recommendations for outcomes measures balancing the availability of data with the intended goals of the programs.  The ideal candidate will have experience in analyzing, translating, and visualizing data to help staff derive program insights based on patterns, trends etc.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Daily data extraction, validation, and interpretation across multiple data entry systems to reconcile operational programmatic data
  • Analyze data to identify trends in program performance, client engagement, client attrition, payment milestones etc.
  • Create and validate reports to monitor and evaluate data accuracy/quality for operational efficiency and funder reports
  • Collaborate with UBA and program leadership to ensure appropriate workflows and documentation standards and ensure optimal use of electronic systems, data entry systems, and/or data collection tools
  • Train and support end users on system reports to effectively monitor client activities, operational targets/outcomes, etc.
  • Develop and maintain monitoring and evaluation workplan(s) for all analyses and programmatic reporting activities planned for the calendar year
  • Assist UBA and program leadership in the design and development of innovative analyses to support prioritized business needs such as achieving payment milestones
  • Develop data visualization tools
  • Conducts audits to ensure reliability of data entered into internal data entry systems
  • Coordinates with program team to set goals for improving client services
  • Detect and address issues in data and analytic results
  • Conduct descriptive statistical analyses
  • Assists with preparing manuscripts, reports, and other materials and disseminates through professional journals, conferences, and internal/external meetings.


Qualifications & Requirements:

At least 1 year’s health care experience in an analytic position utilizing large data sets to answer high-level business questions required. Experience working with Program leadership/teams in assessing and implementing optimal workflows and documentation procedures to ensure accurate and valid data output for use in required programmatic reporting, program monitoring and support additional evaluation and performance analysis. Advanced excel required. SAS experience/certification is a plus. R and/or SQL is also a plus.

  • Minimum bachelor’s (data analytics, data visualization, statistics, computer science, health administration, or related fields) with at least 1 years of experience as a data analyst
  • Excellent administrative/organizational, analytical, problem solving, time management, and communication skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills in working with clients and colleagues
  • Ability to utilize PC-based software and systems for applications related to data collection and analysis, including SQL, MS Access, SAS, Excel, Tableau
