Reporting to the Unified Administrator the Director of Operations oversees human capital planning/strategy, Departmental union contractual compliance, employee engagement, employee retention, collaborates with Health Equity Task Force, manages patient complaints,  directs and coordinates Department personnel-related processes in HCM with central maintenance of associate files; works closely with FPG HRBP in succession planning, develops professional learning programs, manage Executive Departmental communication, responsible for patient feedback investigations, streamlines administrative processes, and manages hiring process for department with successful on-boarding.  This position works closely with the Department's Executive Suite, Unified and Associate Administrator. This is not an HR position, assignment is working directly with the department. This position will require travel to all Women's Health locations.



  • Direct the processing of new hires, promotions and terminations completely, accurate and timely in accordance with Montefiore and AECOM policies and processes.


  • Oversee maintenance of all personnel records and coordinating all personnel processes in an efficient and well organized manner, including but not limited to coordinating assurance that performance reviews are complete, acting as department expert on all HCM processes, completing HCM process for medical staff moonlighting session pay, and conducting Kronos timekeeping for central staff; and keeping track of who is responsible for Kronos for all staff throughout dept.
  • Oversee the tracking of all vacancies and terminations across department.
  • Act as departmental expert on HCM, data input, maintenance, and trouble-shoot HCM issues.
  • Oversee the tracking of all vacancies and terminations across department.
  • Work with senior administration team to be aware of all performance management issues, hot line complaints related to associates across the department. Prepare a monthly report on prior months issues and the status of their resolution.
  • Participate in other process improvement efforts in the department administration.



  • Bachelor’s degree REQUIRED; Master’s degree preferred
  • 7 year’s work experience
  • Exposure to working in an environment with union contracts;
  • Skills to evaluate complex issues and identify multiple options for resolution
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
