FIELD MANAGER

BRONX, NY, US


University Behavioral Associates (UBA) at Montefiore Medical Center in Bronx, New York is seeking an individual with a masters-level in the mental health field to serve as a therapist for the Multisystemic Therapy for substance abuse (MST-SA) program funded by the NYC Administration for Children’s Services (ACS).

 

Therapists will engage in intense and intimate family-based work within the home or community. Therapists have small caseloads (5-6 families) and frequent clinical contacts with family members. Responsibilities include assessment, treatment, and collaboration with families, youth, and community agency staff. This fast-paced job requires some evening and/or weekend availability, and periodic on-call 24-hour coverage. This position allows the potential of accruing clinical hours towards licensure.

 

The therapist will work closely with other members of a close-knit, dynamic MST team, and will receive 3 hours of group supervision and 1 hour of individual supervision weekly. Therapists will also receive free, intensive training in MST-SA. More information on this treatment model can be found at: www.mstservices.com.

 

The preferred candidate will have demonstrated clinical experience with adolescents and/or families, substance use issues, and with providing behaviorally-based treatments, and will possess excellent organizational skills. Spanish-speaking strongly preferred.

 

This position is 100% grant funded.
