Performs a variety of moderately complex clerical activities such as patient registration, verification of insurance eligibility, collection of patient payments, and submission of Medicaid applications.
Responsible for performing a variety of clerical functions which include but are not limited to,
Registration, Insurance Verification, Money Collection, Collection of Documentation, submissions of Medicaid Application so as to ensure the efficient operation of the various departments within the HSR Department while maintaining all Customer Service Guidelines. Works in conjunction with management in training all new associates, keeping staff informed, prioritizing assignments, and organizing functions to ensure effective department orientation and proper work flow (i.e.) Conduct Shift Huddles /Meetings, Various Reporting, Rounding, and perform duties of a complex nature.
Education and Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED is a must with college course work preferred, and experience in collection and/or insurance verification. Must be experienced in providing excellent customer service and problem escalation/resolution in high volume atmosphere. Candidates must have strong communication skill, both verbal and written, with excellent telephone and face to face communication. Must be able to work independently and get along with others. Must successfully pass pre-hire exams; Math, grammar/vocabulary & customer service with a score of 80% or above.
