The Grants and Program Administrator assists the Grants Manager (and as needed, the Senior Medical Director and Starr Center Program Manager), with all grants-related activities, including: identifying funding opportunities, writing proposals, coordinating applications, and reporting. 


This position also provides support to Senior Management for projects which facilitate effective administrative operations and special initiatives at the Community Pediatric Programs (CPP). 


The Grants and Program Administrator reports to the Grants Manager and works in collaboration with the Director, CPP and the Administrative Director, South Bronx Health Center/CHR (SBHC/CCHR), and Special Initiatives in areas affecting overall program operations.


The Grants and Program Administrator will assist with managing grants, and will assist the Grants Manager in all departmental program planning and development.


Bachelors degree required.  Masters degree in public health, public administration, public policy, business or other related field, preferred.


A minimum of 1 year of experience preferred. 

Excellent writing and communications skills.

Superior analytic and organizational skills.

Excellent  detail orientation and time management skills.

Proficiency with computerized spreadsheets and database systems.

Ability to work independently and produce high quality work. 

Flexibility in approach and willingness to adapt when necessary. 

Proactive and action-oriented personality.

Ability and experience working productively both independently and as part of a team.

Strong interpersonal skills and proven problem-solving skills.

Bilingual is a plus.
