Full Time Interventional Spine Physiatrist

 

Description:  Full time, faculty member to join the Interventional Spine Division of the department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R).

Our Interventional Spine Practice provides patients with the most up to date management options for the treatment of acute and chronic spine conditions.  Working closely with our general physiatrists as well as with the spine surgeons within the institution and health system, our interventional team plays an integral role in the management of patients with spine related conditions.  Interventionalists have access to our state-of-the-art practice facilities with dedicated imaging modalities and an experienced support team in order to ensure that patients receive the best care available. 

 

Requirements: Applicant must be a Board Certified Physiatrist with subspecialty training in accredited Pain Medicine.

 

Responsibilities and Expectations: The applicant will be expected to help sustain and grow an active clinical practice across various practice locations in both the Bronx and in Westchester Counties. The physician will be expected to work closely with colleagues with the department as well as with physicians from other related fields including orthopedics, neurosurgery, family medicine, and internal medicine. In addition, the applicant will actively participate in the training of our residents and fellows. This responsibility includes curriculum development, direct supervision of trainees and their evaluation in collaboration with PM&R residency director.  In addition, the applicant will be expected to take an active role in ongoing and new field related research endeavors in the area of spine disorders and interventional pain medicine
