MANAGEMENT ENGINEER

BRONX, NY, US


This position performs the crucial skill set of strategic leadership and planning, tactical leadership, system/process development, consultation and advisory role, and change leadership throughout the Medical Center.  As a Performance Excellence Department Management Engineer, this role will primarily work on process analysis, time and cost studies, facility design, process simulation, process and quality improvement, financial and organizational planning and information system design.  Assist with new and/or revised initiatives, processes, and projects in order to achieve the vision of the Performance Excellence Department and Montefiore Medical Center’s goal of an integrated delivery care system.

 

Skills/Education required:

 

  • As in any industry, the Management Engineer, Industrial Engineer or Performance Engineer can have a major impact on the success of the organization by providing value added results.
  • Graduate degree in Industrial or Systems Engineering with a focus on Management Engineering, Information Technology, and Operations research.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a management engineer in health care settings (preferably in the acute care hospital setting).
  • Experience in the use of simulation modeling required.
  • Ability to generate project plans to support evaluation and implementation activities.
  • Ability to represent Montefiore Medical Center and the Performance Excellence Department in a professional manner.
