MANAGER ASSESSMENT SERVICES (Grant Funded)

Montefiore/University Behavioral Associates is currently seeking an Assistant Director of Clinical Assessments to join our institution. The program provides a continuum of services to help cash assistance clients with medical and/or mental health conditions that affect their employability to attain their maximum level of self-sufficiency. Individuals referred to the program receive medical and psychosocial assessments to identify clinical conditions and social barriers that may affect their ability to participate in work-related activities. Based on the results of the assessments, a determination of an individual's functional capacity is made and a customized service plan is developed to provide a range of services tailored to meet a client’s particular needs.

 

In this role the Assistant Director will:

 

  • Lead and support a team of Qualified Health Professionals (QHP) with licensure in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling and Rehabilitation Counseling; as well as an Assessment Supervisor and Navigator.
  • Ensure that assessments completed by QHPs lead to appropriate functional capacity outcome determinations.
  • Collaborate with Physicians, Physician Assistants, Psychologists and Substance Use Counselors regarding medical/mental health conditions that affect work ability.
  • Ensure reconciliation of assessment outcomes in electronic information systems.
  • Develop policies, procedures and workflows that comply with all contractual requirements of the program.
  • Develop monthly analyses to measure staff performance and compliance with productivity standards.
  • Maintain an adequate level of staffing to support program operations while remaining within budget.
  • Receive direction and feedback from the Program Director regarding departmental policies, issues, and performance relative to project goals.

 

 

Position requirements:

 

  • RN/PA/Behavioral Health license and current New York State registration
  • Bachelor's Degree; Master's Degree highly desirable
  • At least 3 years clinical experience
  • Supervisory/leadership experience preferred
  • Ability to use basic data entry and electronic clinical information systems
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
