The research manager will supervise and coordinate all quality and research efforts of the Neurosurgery Spine division at Montefiore, including overseeing all divisional quality and research databases, working with divisional physicians and staff to design new prospective and retrospective studies, managing ongoing clinical trials, and providing biostatistical analyses for all divisional work.

The candidate should have specific expertise in biostatistical analysis and approaches. They should be able to identify the appropriate biostatistical methods for ongoing and new divisional investigations and quality and research efforts and perform these analysis with high fidelity and in a manner acceptable for peer-reviewed publications. The individual should also be able to supervise other individuals including a data analyst in carrying out similar analyses.

This individual should furthermore have experience in designing software applications for the performance of automated data abstraction from electronic medical record systems and automated statistical analyses of large databases.

This individual should also have leadership and managerial skills to oversee a large research and quality program coordinating the efforts of not only our data analyst and clinical research nurse, but also numerous residents, fellows, medical students, and others who will be participating in and contributing to these efforts.

Candidate must have specific training in biostatistics, as well as expertise in research and computer programing 

“Masters/PhD degree/training in Biostatistics

Certification in Computer Programming).

Bi-Lingual Spanish is preferred.
