MANAGER HEALTH SERVICES RECEIVABLES

BRONX, NY, US


Manage the day to day self pay billing, follow up, and pre-collection activities of the Single Billing Office.  Ensure that all efforts are exhausted before accounts are referred to collection agencies in an effort to reduce bad debt referrals.  Manage the Pre-Collection Team in their daily functions which include receiving calls from patients as well as making calls to our patients who have billing questions, collection of payments/insurance carrier information, discuss outstanding past due balances, billing insurance carriers to ensure proper payment for visits as well as providing efficient service and accurate data collection.  Ensure appropriate staffing levels for large volume of patient accounts. Additional duties and special assignments may be assigned. 

 

Education/Skills:

 

Bachelor's degree.  Five year's experience.

Successful candidate needs to promote and foster a professional work environment . Candidate needs to be a self starter, motivated individual with strong organizational, interpersonal and written skills.  Strong billing skills in the following systems:  EPIC, EAGLE, TREKS, TCN.  Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel). General understanding of accounts receivable and ability to communicate clearly with peers as well as others. Knowledge of Fair Debt Collection Act and Telephone Consumer Protection Act is desirable.
