OUTREACH SPECIALIST

We are currently seeking an Outreach Specialist that engages and provides peer support to mental health outpatient consumers. Collaborates with clinical and non-clinical team members to enhance outreach, engagement, retention, and support of patients and families.

 

Requirements: 

High School Diploma/GED 

Demonstrated interpersonal communications skills and the ability to empathize with, relate to, and effectively work with clients of mental health services.
Knowledge of and training in mental health self-help activities, peer support, and peer advocacy.
Excellent judgment and ability to understand boundaries when working with participants of mental health services.
Basic computer proficiency in standard office (word processing, email, spreadsheet) software.

State certification as a Peer Specialist

 

* this is a part-time position (.5 FTE) but will be during normal business hours, 8:30am to 5:00pm, no nights or weekends.
