PEDIATRIC ECHOCARDIOGRAPHY TECHNICIAN

BRONX, NY, US


Pediatric Echocardiography Technician responsibilities include, but not limited to, performing pediatric echocardiograms on populations between 0 to 21 years; fetal echocardiograms on women of all age groups; assistance with trans-esophageal echocardiograms; and echocardiograms on adults with congenital heart disease. This position provides services to all current and future locations covered within the division of pediatric cardiology scope of practice: including but not limited to CHAM echo lab, neonatal intensive care unit, pediatric critical care units, cardiac catheterization laboratory, operating rooms, inpatient floors, newborn nursery as well as all contracted off site locations. Position required to participate in on-call rotation.

 

Training/Cerification(s) required

Completion of a state approved Echocardiography Program including pediatric rotation.

BLS required.

Registry in ARDMS in Pediatric Echocardiography required or registry in CCI in congenital cardiac sonography required within one year of hire.     

 

Education

Associate's Degree preferred

High School Diploma/GED required
