PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT- ARRYTHMIA EP LAB

Physician Assistant’s (PAs) perform exercise & tilt table testing, assist in electrophysiologic studies performed in the EP laboratory/OR, including insertion of temporary pacing catheters & intracardiac mapping, analysis of recordings made during electrophysiologic studies, orientation of the cardiology fellows to electrophysiologic studies, perform initial & follow-up history & physical exams on arrhythmia service outpatients & inpatients, perform bedside procedures related to arrhythmia evaluation(EKGs, carotid sinus massage). The PAs perform initial & follow-up evaluations of pacemaker & ICD patients & evaluate post operative wounds & also participate in the recruitment/care of patients in research protocols.
Requirements
Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
Certified by the National Commission of the Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
Physician Assistant license by New York State
Ability to travel between campuses: Moses, Einstein and Hutch
