Project Associate III


The Project Associate III is responsible for planning/coordinating/operationally implement special projects as assigned and supports the Department Chair of the Department of OB/GYN & Women’s Health.  Responsibility includes thoroughly and accurately managing multiple faculty driven projects on all campuses, including Einstein academic programs and Montefiore clinical programs.


Project Associate III regularly called upon to thoroughly understand and interpret Departmental, School of Medicine and Medical Center policy for faculty and staff and must be comfortable and able to speak for the Department Chair in their absence on matters within the scope of the position as well as know when and to whom to escalate matters when they rise above the scope of the position. 



  • Tracks progress, monitors and communicates project status regularly to the Department Chair
  • Identifies and resolves issues related to the projects and resolves all issues that impact the reaching of project goals
  • Interface with faculty and staff members of the Department as well as other senior leaders within the organization
  • Regularly exercises independent judgment in a variety of arenas and s/he must set his/her own, multiple priorities with little or no direct supervision
  • Support Administrative Supervisor responsible for managing the complex calendar of affairs that support the Office of the Chair and Unified Administrator
  • Perform both of these broad functions with limited direction, and the outcomes must be thorough, complete, on time, virtually error free



  • Project Management Experience
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise discretion with highly sensitive confidential information
  • Highly capable interpersonal relationship and communication skills
  • High attention to detail ability to track multiple competing priorities, balanced with understanding of broad concepts
  • Demonstrated experience coordinating moderately complex projects with limited direction
  • Highly effective, excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Adept at Excel (e.g., pivot tables, vlookup) and able to understand and use spreadsheets created by finance team; Highly technically proficient in Word, Powerpoint
  • Master’s Degree
