PSYCHOLOGIST II - 1199

BRONX, NY, US


The full-time Psychologist will work with patients with learning disabilities and other neurodevelopmental disabilities ages 7 through adolescence on RFK CERC’s Child and Adolescent Unit (CAU) and patients through adulthood in the Adult Literacy Program (ALP). Primary responsibilities will focus on diagnostic and intervention needs. 

  

The full-time psychologist to be shared by the ( ALP) Adult Literacy Program and the ( CAU) Child Adolescent Unit at CERC will be under the supervision of Dr. Monica McQuaid and Dr. MJ Cardin. The psychologist’s time will be split as follows: .80 clinical time, .10 administrative time, and .10 teaching time. This psychologist will work closely with the Child Adolescent Unit and Adult Literacy Program conducting evaluations and therapy with children, adolescents, and adults with psycho-educational needs. This psychologist will attend all CAU and ALP meetings and be involved in the supervision and teaching of externs. We would estimate the psychologist to see 3 evaluations and 8-10 therapy cases a week. They would also conduct parent conferences, feedback sessions, and follow-ups as needed. 

   

Training Required

Successful completion of pre-doctoral internship

 

Education and License Requirement

NYS License PhD or PsyD.

Completion of Ph.D. or Psy.D. from a clinical psychology or related field.

Experience with learning disabilities/neurodevelopmental disabilities is preferred.
