Quality Transformation Manager (Implementation Coach)

Reporting to the Research Project Director of the NIDA-funded "HIV testing in school-based health centers, the Quality Transformation Manager supports the implementation research project "Universal for all, frequent for some: HIV testing in school-based health centers.”  This position will manage quality improvement implementation and clinical team coaching with the clinical and operational associates at six school-based health centers.  As the Implementation Coach you will work with the Principal Investigators, research team, health center staff, and other organizational partners to develop, carry-out, monitor and evaluate progress toward clinical practice improvement standards as defined by the implementation project and maintain adherence to implementation research protocols.

Skills and Requirements:

  • Demonstrated examples of coaching and change management effectiveness/successes
  • Demonstrated experience working with electronic health records systems (preferably EPIC) in clinical practice improvement, reporting, and data management
  • Knowledge of care coordination and population health management in primary care ambulatory setting
  • Experience with research studies and IRB protocols and review processes and performing detailed chart review
  • Experience with qualitative interviewing and focus groups and qualitative analysis methods
  • Experience working in a dynamic environment, across multiple sites
  • Ability to work effectively with team-based planning and implementation process
  • Ability to manage competing priorities, anticipates potential barriers, and strategically identifies and communicates solutions
  • Master’s Degree in Public Health, Healthcare Administration or Public Policy or related fields required
  • Minimum 3 years of work experience in a direct service health care delivery environment, preferably in pediatric, sexual and reproductive health care or adolescent health care services




  • Minimum 3 years performing data management, data cleaning, data analysis, preferably in the context of clinical quality improvement projects and metrics
  • Minimum 2 years participating in or managing clinical quality improvement projects/programs
  • Minimum 2 years work experience in change management and performance metrics, specifically Lean -Six Sigma
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel specifically) and SPSS or R
