PLEASE NOTE:  This is a Per Diem position.  The practice is open within office hours and schedule is contingent on the needs of the department.


Reporting to the Site Administrator/Nurse Manager/Senior Leadership the Per Diem Registered Nurse contributes to the actualization of the philosophy and critical success factors of Women's Health OBGYN.  He/she is committed to maintaining the standards of the practice of nursing and is responsible for the coordination, implementation and delivery of care to Women's Health OBGYN patient population.


The Staff RNs primary responsibility will be the facilitation of an independent clinical patient panel for prenatal care/ infertility care.  He/she will participate in performance improvement/research activities, maintains professional practice standards, clinical expertise, and demonstrates leadership skills. 


Responsibilities include:

·         Coordination of ancillary clinical support associates (LPN/PCT). 

·         Ensure TJC sweeps are performed routinely and will oversee HLD/Sterilization completion by PCT/LPN associates.


Education/skills required:

·         BSN Degree required coupled with a New York State License for a Registered Professional Nurse and current registration of valid permit to practice in New York State as an RN.

·         Minimum three (3) years’ experience required in Obstetrics, Gynecology and Women's Health

·         Knowledge of Women's Health OBGYN patient care equipment

·         Additional education required by specialty areas.
