             The Project Associate III will assist the Assistant Director of Regulatory Affairs in administering and monitoring all aspects of continuous survey readiness as well as assess adherence and compliance with requirements and standards from regulatory agencies and accrediting bodies throughout Montefiore . This individual facilitates and develops initiatives promoting awareness, education, and assures continuous survey readiness assessments and compliance with governmental and regulatory agencies, including but not limited to local, State, and Federal.  Assists in implementation of ongoing readiness evaluations and assessments to determine compliance with The Joint Commission (TJC) standards; participates independently and works collaboratively with health system leaders on activities regarding regulatory, accreditation, quality and performance improvement. The Project Associate III has primary responsibility for interactions with the Justice Center.  This individual provides TJC standards interpretation and guidance to operations leaders, clinical and non-clinical department leaders, managers and others.  This individual will assist in development of plans of action and associated monitoring mechanisms to ensure sustained compliance ; and assist in managing the functional and technical internal and external applications required by regulatory agencies including but not limited to NYSDOH, NYSOMH, NYCDOH, Justice Center, CMS, TJC, and CAP. The Project Associate III works collaboratively with operations, clinical and medical staff leadership, senior director quality management, vice president medical affairs, VP/Chief quality officer, Network Performance, Compliance, Patient Safety, Legal, Risk Management, and other hospital leadership and with front line staff to achieve a state of regulatory readiness.


Bachelor's degree required and a minimum of 3 years healthcare related experience. Specific experience includes previous clinical or management role in a healthcare setting and the ability to grasp complex concepts in an accelerated manner, excellent problem resolution skills and professionalism. Incumbent must have ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and information that anticipates the needs of the end-users. Position requires proficiency in interpreting, creating and providing education on accreditation and standards to both large and small audiences. Further, development of organization-wide reports, policies and procedures, materials to ensure results and outcomes and expertise with analytic tools such as Microsoft excel and access. Incumbent must be able to work independently and to produce excellent work products that inspire trust. Incumbent must have outstanding communication, interpersonal and organizational skills to develop and maintain excellent relationships with all levels of management and staff.

Knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Access), statistical, and project related software applications.
