Manages the daily activities for a designated administrative function. Prepares and monitors the budget, implements policies and procedures, and monitors program outcomes. Supervises, trains and evaluates professional and support staff. Under the direction of the Director, implements and maintains fire safety, emergency management, hazardous material, workplace safety and radiation safety programs. Responsible for 2 hospitals compliance with EPA, DEC, OSHA, FDNY, Joint Commission, DOH, DOT, DEP laws and regulations. Responsible for ensuring that MMC policies relating to fire, safety, hazardous materials, radiation safety and the EOC are adheared to.


Associate's degree is required. B.S. degree is a required. Masters degree is a plus. Prior experience with hazardous materials and waste is required. Experience in the health care field, environmental monitoring, or compliance, and knowledge of Joint Commission standards. Must attain required FDNY Certificates of Fitness, and EPA training within 90 days of hire.
