SECRETARY I-WAKEFIELD 75HRS

BRONX, NY, US


The Secretary I Wakefield in the dept of Urology performs secretarial and routine administrative duties.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • General clerical responsibilities, planning, preparing required correspondence, organization of and scheduling of activities for the assigned providers. Prioritizes assignments and organizes functions to ensure effective office operations.

 

Education/ Skills required:

  • High School Diploma/GED coupled with six (6) months experience required
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Ability to type 45 WPM
  • Three (3) year’ of secretarial experience involving customer service or equivalent combination of training preferred. 
  • Training in PC based automated word processing systems, PC or mainframe-based database management programs. 
  • Knowledge of medical terminology preferred. 
  • Previous experience in OR Scheduling preferred.
  • Fluency in Spanish required.
