SECRETARY II

BRONX, NY, US


This position performs secretarial and routine administrative duties. Minimum 5 years front desk experience working in a dynamic doctor's office setting.   This position requires strong customer service skills; knowledge of medical or equally complex terminology. Prioritizes assignments and organize office functions to ensure effective operations.  Multitasking ability a must; experienced with handling a heavy volume of calls, responsible for greeting patients, complete and or update registration; schedule a heavy volume of appointments; actively collect co-pays and assist patients, nurses, doctors and all clinical personnel with clerical requests. Familiarity with insurances and pre-authorization process a plus.  Excellent phone etiquette a must.  Associate must be able to provide compassionate care to unique patient population. In-depth knowledge of HIPPA guidelines and policy procedures.  May lead and train clerical staff

 

High School diploma. 5 years of related work experience.  Multi-tasking, excellent telephone skills, Customer Service, Time Management, Organization, Attention to Detail, Scheduling, Word Processing , Professionalism, Quality Focus. Ability to type 55 wpm. Bilingual preferred, insurance verification knowledge a plus, Epic and US BANK knowledge preferred.
