SECRETARY II

BRONX, NY, US


Requires knowledge of medical or equally complex terminology.  Requires knowledge of basic health care office practices including insurance overages and coordination of benefits. Requires knowledge of how to use an electronic health record to perform: (1) verification of insurance; (2) prior authorizations; (3) obtaining and scanning documents such as IEP and other medical records; (4) schedule appointments; (5) monitor and make referrals; (6) track evaluations, coordinate team meetings, assist in treatment plan and annual medical evaluation tracking; (7) ensure that all clinicians schedules are full and clinicians are well utilized; (8) assist patients in securing medical transportation; (9) ensure that prescriptions for therapies are up to date and on file; and (10) ensure that families and parents have an outstanding customer experience.

 

Training/ Education

Bachelor's Degree- preferred

High School Diploma/GED- required

Length of work experience required 3 years

Training in PC based automated word processing systems, pc or mainframe based database management programs. EPIC Training

Spanish required
