SENIOR BIOMEDICAL TECHNOLOGIST-WF

This position is responsible for the support of MMC’s clinical, biomedical, analytical, laboratory and scientific systems and devices.  Support includes testing, troubleshooting, repair, preventive maintenance, inspection, calibration and documentation in accordance with all regulatory agency requirements and MMC policies and procedures.  Must be able to service equipment in the dialysis department. Need to possess a NYS Drivers license and utilize MMC vehicle to drive to sites and perform service.  Must share on-call duties with other techs.

 

This position includes all functions and responsibilities of the Biomedical Technician (6T) with the addition of a higher level of responsibility, advanced troubleshooting skills, increased knowledge of equipment function and the ability to interact with equipment users regarding equipment function and service related issues.

High School Graduation and 3 year clerical experience involving patient billing or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

 

Minimum of an Associates Degree in Biomedical Engineering or Electronics- Bachelors Degree preferred.  2 years experience as a 6T technician (with excellent evaluations and progressive technical abilities) or 3 years experience with medical electronics required.
