The Senior Director, Cancer Clinical Research Administration is a newly created role to lead all aspects of cancer clinical research operations at the Montefiore Einstein Cancer Center (MECC) and will report to Executive Administration.  In partnership with the Medical Director and Associate Director for Clinical Science, the Senior Director is responsible for the strategic planning , organizing, and oversight of the MECC Cancer Clinical Trials Office (CCTO) including the development of strategies and tactics for patient recruitment, regulatory compliance, clinical trial billing compliance, performance and quality improvement, operational efficiency, patient experience and employee engagement.  The Senior Director will partner with clinical research and clinical trial leadership colleagues at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine (AECOM) and Montefiore Medical Center (MMC) to align policies, processes and procedures across institutions.  Incumbent will ensure the development of MECC's clinical trial infrastructure that supports the clinical research community and is consistent with expectations of NCI-designated Cancer Centers as outlined in the Cancer Center Support Grant (CCSG) guidelines.  Ensures that all institutional, local, state, and Federal Regulations, Good Clinical Practice (GCPs), ICH, and IRB requirements are met and that all research programs and Disease Teams within MECC are structured to continue to meet these expectations.  The Senior Director oversees a team of highly skilled and efficient clinical research staff charged with upholding the same expectations and requirements including continued focus on increasing efficiencies, improving quality control, and providing a robust training and education program.  Provides expertise, guidance, and oversight to the operational units within the Cancer Clinical Trials Office (CCTO).

Master's degree preferred; Bachelor's degree required.  10+ years of experience leading NCI designated cancer center clinical research and clinical trials operations required.  Must have proven expertise in clinical trial regulatory compliance; clinical trial billing compliance, and clinical trial operations.  Experience in clinical trial management systems, developing operatonal excellence for multi-disciplinary teams and deep knowledge of NCI CCSG guidance, rules and data sets required.
