Job Summary
The Senior Director of Real Estate will establish and execute the strategic vision for the Real Estate Department and Montefiore for all real estate activities including the acquisition, disposition, financing, valuation, property and asset management, development and leasing of all healthcare, commercial, residential, and other properties. The Sr Director will provide advisory and transactional work for 12 million square foot portfolio with day-to-day operational focus on the 3 million square feet of off-site locations, 1,500 residential units and 7,000 parking spaces in garages and lots. This position also includes the retention and supervision of outside attorneys, consultants, brokers, title companies, appraisers, and vendors to facilitate this work.
Requirements
- Juris Doctorate with experience and knowledge in real estate law.
- 15 years of management related experience
- Experience in property and asset management, development, complex leasing, acquisition and disposition, valuation, finance.
- Proven experience in commercial, healthcare, residential, other properties and parking. Experience with the due diligence, legal, tax certiorari, marketing, construction, tenant relations, governmental and zoning, approvals and permitting, tax exemption and public benefits processes.
- Familiarity with corresponding agencies and regulatory compliance standards (Joint Commission, CMS, DOH, etc.).
- Experience working with and for Developer/Owners, Private Equity and advisory firms.
- Superior negotiation and knowledge of leasing properties.
- Ability to analyze financial statements and provide detailed budgets and operating forecasts.
