The Social Worker at the Butler Center for Children and Families functions as a member of a multidisciplinary team dedicated to the evaluation and treatment of abused and neglected children and their families. Provides individual, family and group therapy using evidenced based trauma focused modalities. Complies with the Mission Statements of Montefiore, the Department of Social Services, and the Code of Ethics of the National Association of Social Work.

Should have Knowledge of the Following:

Knowledge of standardized scales and questionnaires used to assess anxiety, depression, behavioral problems, and the impact of trauma as well as conduct a general mental health status exam.

Familiar with research protocols, outcomes assessments in behavioral health and data collection and analysis for quality improvement purposes.

Electronic medical record systems, computer, fax, and copy machines.


License and Education

Masters in Social Work from a school of Social Work accredited by the Counsel of Social Work Education

New York State Social Work License and registration LMSW/LCSW
