The Phlebotomy Supervisor administrative supervises the activities of a designated administrative function to support operational goals and objectives. Schedules, assigns, and monitors the work of staff.



  • Manage the operation of the Moses inpatient areas. Oversee the outpatient MAP Center Service in the absence of managers
  • Develop and manage staff schedules including authorization of vacations, holidays, and prolonged time-off requests. Approve staff working hours (timekeeping) in Kronos
  • Maintain compliance with regulatory standards for training, annual in-services, TAT, QA objectives, continuing education, and health assessments. Assist with the development of policies and procedures
  • Manage human resources: hire, train, orient new staff. Perform staff evaluations and competency assessments. Ensure Staff attend annual training, OHS assessments, fire & safety trainings. Coach and discipline staff as needed. Hold regular staff meeting for improved communication and solicit staff feedback for problem solving
  • Manage and maintain inventory supplies for specimen collections. Reduce and eliminate waste wherever possible
  • Address physicians and other clinical staff’s questions, inquiries, comments, concerns, and complaints
  • Interact with other departments for process improvement: IT, QA, inpatient and outpatient departments
  • Must be able to use judgement to reassign staff as needed and work cooperatively with leadership within and outside the department



  • High School Diploma / GED required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Must have a minimum of 3 years of work experience
  • Experience with adult, geriatric and pediatric venipuncture techniques required, techniques for drawing children preferred


This position is located in the Phlebotomy lab at the Moses campus. The hours are 11:00 PM-7:30 AM
