Intraoperative Neurophysiologic Monitoring (IONM) Technologist


Montefiore Medical Center is currently seeking technologist positions for Ultrasound. Positions afford the opportunity for growth within our organization. Opportunities are available at various locations in Bronx, NY.


As an Intraoperative Neurophysiologic Monitoring (IONM) Technologist- You Will: 


  • Provides IONM during a variety of surgical procedures.
  • Work under the supervision of in-house attending neurologists specialized in IONM.
  • Work during a mid-morning to early evening shift, and will also periodically perform clinical EEG studies (training will be provided as needed).
  • Encouraged to continue education and participation in research.



As an Intraoperative Neurophysiologic Monitoring (IONM) Technologist- You Need: 


  • Completion of a Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) accredited Electroneurodiagnostic (END) Training Program, or an Associate’s Degree or higher from an accredited college or university.
  • At least 1 year of work experience in IONM, and an attestation of their competence in performing IONM from their supervisor/mentor
  • Certification in Neurophysiologic Intraoperative Monitoring (CNIM)- Strongly Preferred
  • Alternatively, registry in electroencephalography (R. EEG T.) and/or in evoked potentials (R. EP T.) and/or registry in nerve conduction studies (R. NCS T.)
  • Have good computer skills and good communication and interpersonal skills.
