ULTRASOUND TECHNICIAN-WAKEFIEL

BRONX, NY, US


Montefiore Medical Center is currently seeking technologist positions for Ultrasound. Positions afford the opportunity for growth within our organization. Opportunities are available at various locations in Bronx, NY.

As an Ultrasound Technician for the Radiology Department you will:

Perform ultrasonic examinations for diagnostic purposes and prepares a preliminary written impressions. Clean and maintain equipment.
Under the direction of the Radiologist in charge of ultrasound and supervisor of ultrasound, you will perform a variety of ultrasound examinations at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail.  Use independent judgment and initiative to apply prescribed scanning protocols for purposes of medical diagnosis.

  • High School diploma/GED required Associates degree preferred
  • Graduation from an accredited training program in diagnostic medical sonography, which meets requirements for certification by ARDMS.
  • Must be registered by the ARDMS in Abdomen and/or OB/Gyn.
  • Requires 30 CE credits per three year rolling triennium to maintain active ARDMS status.

Shift: Evening 4pm-12am
