Unified Administrator- Anesthesia


Job Summary: 

Reporting to the Vice President, Faculty Practice Group, and with accountability to the Department Chari, incumbent will be responsible for the development and execution of the strategic, operation, fiscal and human resources agenda for the Department of Anesthesiology.


This position will also lead Anesthesiology Department-wide special initiatives by planning strategic and operational projects.  Assists the Chair in aligning service lines with the strategy, driving change efforts, and ensuring the advancement of business initiatives by managing various ad hoc projects.


Incumbent will also oversee and direct a wide range of administrative, operational, fiscal, strategic, quality, customer service and clinical/non-clinical activities to ensure that the department meets Faculty Practice goal and objectives.  Responsible for development and maintenance of financial, operational, quality and service standards and mechanisms to monitor performance.  Identifies key performance indicators for various areas including operational performance, staff development, quality of care, community engagement and departmental efficiency.


Incumbent will participate in performance improvement/research activities, maintain professional practice standards, and demonstrate leadership skills.  Has cross campus responsibilities, authority, and accountability for the organization in addition to overseeing special projects across the Department.

In conjunction with the incumbent will actively seek out opportunities for growth, develop sound business plans and anticipate both opportunities along with challenges.


The incumbent will exhibit an entrepreneurial, yet systematic and objective approach to facilitating growth.

As part of overseeing multiple sites (including Moses, Weiler, CHAM, Wakefield, Westchester Square, St. Lukes and other sites that may become part of the Department of Anesthesiology), incumbent will also be responsible for recruitment and staffing in partnership with the department chairman.


Job Requirements:

Master's Degree

A minimum of 7 years leadership experience
