UNIT BASED EDUCATION COORD

BRONX, NY, US


Under the direction and guidance of the Administrative Nurse Manager, plans, develops, and implements orientation and in-service education programs with identified instructional outcomes; teaches pertinent content to staff on the unit; identifies educational and learning needs; designs, implements, and evaluates strategies to maintain clinical competency of care providers; maintains attendance records; and acts as a consultant in areas of expertise to enhance staff learning. Contributes to the quality of patient care by participation in quality improvement activities and research.  

Bachelors degree. Masters degree preferred. Current license as a registered professional nurse in New York State, 5 years relevant clinical experience.Certification in Inpatient Obstetrics required. Certification in Electronic Fetal Monitoring required. Current ACLS. Current NRP.
