MANAGER MATERIALS DISTRIBUTION

ELMSFORD, NY, US


Materials Distribution Managers are responsible for the smooth operation of the medical center supply chain from the off-site warehouse through receipt, processing, and final delivery of clinical supplies to the final point of use at all MMC locations.   Among the major concentration areas is the management of all staff activities . All managers are responsible for coordination of both operational and support staff involved with  receipts  and distribution duties. Success requires the development and maintenance of strong working relationships with Purchasing, Accounts Payable, Systems & Control, Nursing, Clinical End Users, Vendors and other participants in the supply chain. The position requires knowledge of various technologies, including the ERP, Radio Frequently and delivery tracking system.  Roles and responsibilities of the functional project team member for this recruitment:

  • Provides subject matter expertise.
  • Learns basic Infor system functionality and features and applies this knowledge to Montefiore functional business needs.
  • Assumes responsibility for design decisions, execution of system test and production build setup, and validation that design meets the business needs of the organization.
  • Participates in weekly Project Team status meetings, including the preparation and presentation of a weekly project status report by application area.
  • Identifies, communicates, and resolves application team issues.
  • Learns in-depth building, maintenance, and integration of system files.
  • Defines, documents, executes, and validates Prototypes and System Test scenarios and results with assistance from Infor.
  • Validates converted and/or interfaced data.
  • Develops and updates end-user training materials with Montefiore-specific processes and procedures, starting with the provided standard Infor documentation.
  • Conducts or assists in end-user education as needed.
  • Develops, validates, and documents policies and procedures.
  • Communicates business process changes to Montefiore's personnel, including policies and procedures.
  • Participates in report definition, prioritization, and development.
  • Assists in identification and validation of security needs.
  • Effectively communicates throughout the course of the project.

Education/Skills:

 

Associates Degree with 5 years of experience.  

Knowledge with supply chain and inventory management systems, excellent verbal and written skills, ability to work independently and with teams, excellent organizational and leadership skills, a problem-solver, strong analytical understanding of technology attention to detail to understand the business and the environment in which it operates.
