FACULTY PRACTICE ADMINISTRATOR

The Faculty Practice Administrator is accountable for the administrative management of the department of Orthopedic Surgery faculty practices including, but not limited to the practices located at 1250 Waters Place, 3400 Bainbridge Ave., 4141 Carpenter Avenue, 75 E. Gun Hill Road, and future acquired practice locations throughout the Bronx and Hudson Valley. The administrative and operations managers for these sites will report to this position. Accountability includes revenue cycle management (in conjunction with the Revenue Cycle Manager), clinical management, patient satisfaction, financial management, referral management and physician satisfaction. Work closely with the Unified Administrator and Vice Chairman for Clinical Service.
Responsibilities
- Ensure that the call management of acquired sites are managed appropriately and integrated with the existing Faculty Practice's call center to meet the needs of the department of Orthopedic Surgery and Podiatry.
- Maintain staffing ratios to ensure adequate practice and physician support.
- Provide adequate initial and on-going training to support staff.
- In conjunction with the revenue cycle manager, oversee the revenue cycle activities within the practices.
- Develop and manage QI program for faculty practices.
- Evaluate staff performance and initiate any disciplinary action required, including termination process.
- Ensure practices comply with all relevant State, local and national regulations (JCAHO, CLIA, OSHA etc.)
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree REQUIRED; Master’s degree preferred
- 7 years work experience
- Excellent organizational skills, supervisory experience, or practice management experience required
