The Assistant Vice President of Total Rewards works with senior management to ensure that compensation and benefits programs and HR Systems support the organization’s business objectives and meet all legal requirements.  The position reports directly to the VP, HR, Total Rewards and participates in the overall design, implementation, evaluation and ongoing administration of the organization’s compensation, benefits, central leave of absence, retirement programs and HR Systems.

The successful incumbent will support the VP, HR, Total Rewards in driving strategies that result in a positive impact in the quality, pricing and services provided on behalf of MMC and its employees. As an integral member of the HR Leadership team, the AVP of Total Rewards will help lead in the development of HR’s predictive analytic capabilities and integrated business processes which will help drive actionable outcomes and frontline decision making.  

Requirements- include:

  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience in a Total Rewards or generalist capacity, with an emphasis on at least one or more areas of Total Rewards.  Compensation and Benefits experience in a complex organization is strongly preferred.


  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in a related area (i.e., Business) is preferred


  • 10+ years of benefits and compensation related experience is also preferred


  • Minimum of 3 years of demonstrated management & leadership experience is required


  • Must possess excellent written and oral communications skills and outstanding attention to detail
