Position Summary:

Function as an Operations Director interfacing with Senior Executives at the Operational level for the development, implementation and integration of processes and systems to enable and support the Business Analytical Platform for Montefiore’s strategic goals.  This will envelop materials solutions and financial integration for the Montefiore evolving enterprise, both present and well into the future.  Human Capital Management, Enterprise Asset Management & Performance, Kronos and Cross System integration are just a few  that will be acquiesced within our Business Analytics Platform transition.  This position will support overall coordination of financial processes and systems to support Montefiore’s business models and financial information needs. It will also complement and continually enhance Montefiore’s clinical and administrative information needs.


Major accountabilities:


  • Research and recommend solutions that improve performance, processes and efficiencies across the growing institution
  • Maintain version control of all systems (SAP Finance & Materials, SAP Human Capital Management, Strata Decision Technology, GHX, Jump Technologies’ Mobility – PAR Inventory and Receiving, Esker DeliveryWare, Kronos); understand compatibility matrix on supported systems
  • Oversee the Business Analytics Platform implementation and subsequent ongoing support with an eye to providing and maintaining “One version of the truth”
  • Analyze and support Data Integration activities across Business and Clinical systems to ensure data integrity
  • Support evolving Financial Recording and Reporting requirements
  • Function as liaison between Business and Technical teams
  • Work closely with Leadership, Operations, and IT resources to ensure optimal configuration and reconsolidation of financial/administrative/clinical data feeds
  • Participate as decision maker and provide input on system-related projects
  • Work with IT to prioritize our development efforts
  • Maintain ongoing communication regarding projects, upgrades, status, etc.
  • Build a high level capable team to learn and implement approved solutions
  • Establish detailed training schedules for the team
  • Build implementation structure comprised of process owners, support groups (internal/external) and implementers
  • Assure the project conforms to allowed budgetary constraints
  • Ensure tight coordination of effort among workgroups, comprising of leadership and management, to implement optimal financial processes/system to support Montefiore’s strategic goals
  • Ensure coordination and system administration integrity among data sources and financial modules support the Business Analytical Platform
  • Assess and coordinate process/system enhancements among leadership, management and information technology
  • Provide detailed measurements to assure goals are realized and fully maximized as envisioned and to system potential
  • Direct processes for data cleansing, data conversion, and cross-system conversions
  • Direct processes for testing and validation of new functionality and enhancements
  • Assure policies and procedures are updated, communicated, and maintained in a timely manner
  • Update training materials and training modalities to align with updated processes and system functionalities
  • Monitor and maintain system access through established role-based information requirements
  • Active participation in handling of legacy information, archiving requirements, and data retention/disaster recovery, and data retention policies/procedures
  • Adherence to Montefiore’s confidentiality requirements
  • Stay abreast of changing business models to support Montefiore’s business requirements
  • Maintain team-support and motivation
  • Believe in and profess the goals of the overall project and implementation


Minimum Qualifications & Competencies


  • 10+ years working with SAP, including components such as ERP Central Component (ECC), Strata Planning & Budgeting, Master Data Management, Solution Manager (SolMan)
  • At least 10 years of experience with the support, improvement and management of SAP’s suite of core and extended applications that span Materials Management and Logistics Execution, Financial, Controlling and Reporting, Funds and Grant Management, Data Warehousing/Business Intelligence solutions, Human Capital Management
  • Industry experience in healthcare, or other customer-driven industries such as insurance, financial services, retail, manufacturing, or consumer goods, is highly desired
  • Experience using Strata Decision Technology application is a strong plus
  • Strong in performance and optimization of ERP Systems
  • Ability to comprehensively review and interpret data in order to apply corporate procedures for processing data; ability to efficiently enter data into corporate applications completely and accurately
  • Solid cross-functional and integration knowledge to other process/functional areas and platforms
  • Has experience in analyzing and interpreting operational data to identify and act on root causes of suboptimal performance
  • Proven experience in working with data management and transformational change at an enterprise level
  • Expert problem solving and analytical skills with ability to identify and resolve data issues in a timely manner
  • Excellent organization and time management skills with ability to prioritize work and functions independently
  • Professional demeanor in performing job responsibilities and when interacting with others
  • Experienced with the management of initiative related internal and external resources
  • Demonstrated ability to apply technology solutions to business problems
  • Hands-on experience with SAP release ECC6.0 required
  • Must have a strong SAP Technical and Functional experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills
  • Business background/education in respective functional/process area
  • Experienced with the management of initiative related internal and external resources
  • BS in related field required, advanced degree (MBA, MS) preferred
