DIRECTOR HEALTH SYSTEMS ENGINEERING

TARRYTOWN, NY, US


Direct initiatives, projects and associates in the implementation and management of processes and systems that achieve the vision of Business Information Systems and Montefiore Medical Center’s goal of an integrated care delivery system.

 

This position provides direction and consultation to senior management in the analysis, documentation and adoption of initiatives to ensure successful implementation of initiatives.

 

Create a project management methodology that allows MMC to improve customer service, achieve quality service indicators and to grow the business. Lead in the development and implementation of corrective measures to ensure process and system integrity and operation efficiency.

 

 Provide direction and oversight to Project Management Services to ensure the adoption of standardized practices, methodologies and measures to ensure quality service and support in the implementation of sound business processes and systems.

 

The position plays a key role in translating operational and analytical issues to processes that support MMC’s mission.

 

Education/Skills:

 

Masters degree required.

 

 

  • Knowledge of healthcare operations required.
  • Expertise in project management and project execution.
  • Knowledge of system analysis, modeling simulation, and workflow design.
  • Ability to generate and manage project plans to support implementation objectives.
  • Knowledge of computer systems and impact of workflow processes.
  • Ability to communicate and document training plans, polices and procedures.
  •  Ten to fifteen years progressive experience in a complex healthcare environment
  • Experience in managing professional/technical staff.
  • Advanced combination of education/knowledge/experience
  • Expertise in the Development and Management of Project Plans.
  • Expertise in Business, Administrative and Clinical Processes and Standards
  • In-depth knowledge of  performance engineering, system analysis, and process design and workflow.
  • Excellent Communications and Writing Skills
  • Ability to Document Policies and Procedures
  • Knowledgeable of Project Work Plans and Ability to Generate Deliverables
  • Ability to Design Operational and Statistical Reports
  • Credentialed Project Management Professional (PMP)
  • Knowledge of Desktop Applications: Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Access, Microsoft Project, Microsoft Visio
