DIRECTOR OF REVENUE CYCLE SYSTEMS

The Revenue Cycle Systems Director will support the Revenue Cycle Operations departments through the identification, quantification and execution of special projects identifying areas of increased net revenue opportunities. With direct oversight of Epic Analysts teams and Cash team they will promote successful implementation of policies, work-flows and best practice for system optimization and standardization. Serves as the Revenue Cycle liaison for system build for all Montefiore Member Hospitals to ensure improvement in organizational performance by identifying opportunities for improvement in revenue cycle processes and ensuring the systems teams have the tools needed to support all key initiatives.
Minimum Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Economics/Statistics, Finance, Business Management, Healthcare administration or a related field.
2. Five to seven years of related health care administration/financial or revenue cycle analysis experience.
3. Experience in project management, budgeting, business and process analysis, and working knowledge of third party reimbursement is required.
4. Comprehensive understanding of audit and reimbursement systems, managed care contracts, rate structures, billing and collection processes and procedures, utilization review, health care information systems, outpatient revenue, home health, and other related health care topics is required.
5. Preferred experience with Cash Management background
6. Strong analytical skills, data management, presentation and excellent communication skills required.
7. Knowledge of managed care terminologies and ability to interpret hospital bills, explanation of benefits, and medical records.
8. Strong computer and systems application skills and knowledge of statistical process control concepts.
