The Quality Assurance Manager ensures patient and financial data is accurate and complete as a result of staff adhering to expected workflows, internal policies, and external regulations and requirements. This staff member performs quality monitoring activities and, as necessary, assists in the development of training curriculum across the revenue cycle. The coordinator keeps directors informed of quality monitoring results, identified training needs, and staff education progress.


Minimum Qualifications: 

1. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business Management, Education, English, Healthcare administration or a related field. 

2. Work requires analytical skills to collect information from diverse sources, apply professional principles in performing various analyses, and summarize information and data in order to solve problems

3. 3 to 6 years of related health care administration/financial or revenue cycle analysis experience. 

4. Strong analytical skills and excellent communication skills required, excellent negotiation and interpersonal communication skills.

5. Knowledge of managed care terminologies and ability to interpret hospital bills, explanation of benefits, and medical records.

6. Strong computer and systems application skills.  Has solid knowledge of Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

7. Knowledge of coding guidelines preferred.

8.Strong presentation skills with the ability to feel comfortable in presenting and defending audit logic to clients and key stakeholders

9. Exhibits a customer-service orientation; anticipates, understands and addresses customer needs in a timely manner. 

10. Proficient in use of Epic with preference to Epic Certifications

11. Strong ability to work in a collaborative environment supporting multiple stakeholders including the budget office, financial reporting, health services receivables, and managed care contracting departments.
