The Senior Director of Data Analytics will be the leader to optimize data for decision making in Supply Chain and Healthcare Management. This leader will drive a strategic vision for data management, systems, usage, and communication and create the necessary tools/reporting to drive transactional excellence within Supply Chain’s procure to pay function.The leader will develop and enforce standardized processes for proactive identification and realization of data warehousing, analytics, and reporting requirements. The Senior Director of Data will build and maintain a relationships with all clinical leaders, supply chain and other administrative / support staff to ensure consensus on decisions and will also partner for resource, technology selection, standardization, optimization, and utilization initiatives. To achieve the goals of the department the Senior Director will be responsible for the architecture of the enterprise data warehouse, the movement of data to and from the data warehouse, and the administration of BI tooling. Leading analysts, analytics engineers, data scientists, and data quality stewards, this leader will find opportunities to increase the reliability of the team's assets and implement solutions that improve visibility and on demand access. The Senior Director of Data will:
- Partner with internal customers / executive leaders who share high-value business objectives
- Create, manage, report Supply Chain metrics in the form of KPIs and SLAs
- Create, manage and delegate reproducible and extensible work
- Own outcomes, develop and empower others to succeed
- Use innovative and cost-effective solutions, considering existing and new technology trends such as:
- Maintaining the data warehouse infrastructure, including database and schema design, role permissions, and performance tuning
- Implementing production data pipelines for analytics across the business
- Administration of BI tooling and enablement for data practitioners, having a deep understanding of their objectives and problems
- Improving visibility in the data environment, including uptime, usage, data quality, and data freshness
- Implementing standards for production data flows between the data warehouse and enterprise applications
- Building the company's metrics as source of truth within the data warehouse, and providing accessibility
- Establishing and maintaining the cloud and data strategy, vision, compliance, and maintenance for those services across the organization.
- Establishing and maintaining programs to ensure that information assets and associated technology, applications, systems, infrastructure, and processes used are protected in the short term and properly positioned to take advantage of emerging technologies.
- Providing leadership and developing strategies for achieving effective data acquisition and merge, management, quality, storage, use, and application to address Supply Chain data/information needs.
- Managing and developing the architecture for a broader scope of projects or products
- Analyzing the Supply chain environment (run, grow and transform) to detect critical deficiencies, and recommend solutions for improvement.
- Overseeing and managing informatics project portfolios and coordinate Supply Chain priorities with the entire Senior Management team.
- Assuring clear communication between leadership from program areas, business support, clinical staff, and IT staff to support data information systems, policies, and practices.
The Senior Director will understand business drivers and capabilities (future and current state) and determine corresponding enterprise system designs and change requirements to drive the Supply Chain organization's targeted outcomes. The Senior Director will also be very familiar with emerging technology trends, disruptions and the practical application of existing, new, and emerging technologies to enable new and evolving business and operating models; define the principles, guidelines, standards, and solution patterns to ensure solution decisions are aligned with business needs.
This position will apply innovative, scientific/quantitative analytical approaches to draw conclusions and make/execute “insight to action” recommendations to answer the business objectives and to drive the appropriate change. Will lead the monitoring and evaluation of work and electronic processes for information quality and effectiveness and makes recommendations for improvement. Will oversee informatics activities, including developing technical requirements, standards, and specifications for the use of information and operation of information systems.
Expected to stay current with informatics knowledge and tools, especially in the areas of system integration, system interoperability. Will evaluate and implement strategic technology solutions that fulfill the Data Strategic Plan and the corporate vision. Will have experience with the administration of enterprise data warehouse and data application environments (Tableau, dbt, AWS) and experience working with APIs, SSH, SFTP/etc. with a high level of expertise in data curation, data transformation and data visualization.
EDUCATIONAL LEVEL:
BS/BA Degree in Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Completion of Master’s Degree

- Supply Chain Management
- ERP, Inventory Management, Contract Management software
- Strategic Sourcing, contracting, distribution, P2P process and vendor program management
- Healthcare Indirect and non-clinical spend categories
- Accounting principles, cost analysis, budgeting, forecasting, market, and supplier research.
YEARS OF EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of seven (7) years’ data management in large and matrix organizations.
